We often just ask for “mai ped” (not spicy) and it works perfectly almost everywhere. From rice and noodles to fruit and pancakes, there’s always something simple on the menu.

You’ll also find plenty of Western-style places in bigger towns, so it’s easy to mix Thai flavors with familiar food when needed.

💡 Crew Tip: Our kids love raw veggies like carrots, cucumber, and bell pepper. We often bought fresh vegetables from small local shops to snack on during the day: healthy, crunchy, and easy to pack.

Thailand is very doable with young kids: we visited with a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old and had an amazing time. We met plenty of other families with babies too, so you definitely won’t be the only ones with a stroller and a diaper bag!
